Borobudur Agency

With the main intention to promote the wealth of Indonesian content globally by introducing the works of Indonesian authors for international readership, the Indonesian Publishers Association – IKAPI – established a literary agency under the name of Borobudur Agency in July 2013. We facilitate Indonesian publishers and authors whom we represent to promote and license their translation rights – children's and young adult books, comic books, fiction : mainly literary works, nonfiction and interactive learning materials – abroad . We also help our Indonesian publishing clients to acquire foreign rights upon their requests or based on our recommendation. We expand our network among international publishers and literary agencies, especially by attending international book fairs and festivals such as Frankfurt , Leipzig, London , Bologna , New Delhi, Abu Dhabi, Guadalajara, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Chiang Mai, Beijing and IIBF – Indonesia International Book Fair – as well as international publishers’ conferences like Sharjah and Istanbul. So far, we have managed to license rights to Germany, the UK, Turkey, Egypt, the UAE, Syria, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia , t he Philippines , Australia, Col o mbia, and the USA .
