Synopsis
This novel revolves around the Korean conflict. It is about two twins who were separated at the age of five on the day the armistice was signed and the iron curtain descended determining the border between the North and South Korea at the 38th parallel. Although they lived in adjascent border cities, one in Kaesong in North Korea and the other in Incheon in South Korea, they were never to meet until old age. The twins grew up and raised their families within the two opposing political and economic ideologies. It is their children who are to be the main characters in this novel.
